Just found out my cousin, aged 70, died. She suffered from diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnea and depression, among other health issues. Her motto was "we take pills for that." Rest in peace.
My condolences, Horf - I need to write up my own family history ("heavy" w/the morbid obesity on paternal side)... Lost one of my cousins w/"such a pretty face" at age 42; her sister @ 26 from complications following WLS.
I'm now depressed because I can't go to the funeral due to the new passport laws between Canada and the US. Arrgghh. Fastest possible processing is 10 business days.
I even didn't know they changed rules, but if something can't be done, so be it, however, I remember once I crossed the border by a special permission issued by a US consulate, but it was arrange by our lawyer. Lawyers have special lines of communications everywhere, while normal people can access only recorded messages.
Yes the rules have changed since 9-11. Even with a passport office in my city, 10 business days is the soonest and knowing how our government offices work, it will take longer than that.
Sorry to hear this news 'Horf' - condolences to you and the family.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan!
Deletei'm sorry for your loss, H! i'll bet that quote was inspired by her doctor's attitude, too....
ReplyDeleteThanks Tess. Yes that was all of her doctors' attitudes. So very sad.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your family Val! Thanks for your comments.
DeleteIf his mom's fate would save the son's health and may be even life, it would be the best consolation for your cousin if she knew.
ReplyDeleteYes Galina it certainly would be.
